Emerald City Comic Con 2012

Hey there, I am so excited to write about this. On March 31st hubby and I went to the comic con in Seattle and we got to meet 2 stars of "Stargate A
tlantis". It was awesome! Their names are: Jason Momoa (Ronan) and Christopher Judge (Teal'c). Jason Momoa was also "Drogo" in game of thrones and "Conan" the Barbarian. He is such a cool guy and super hotttt.
The whole event was pretty fun, lots of costumes and
tons of comic books and sci-fi people. I figured that since we were there we should definitely try to get a picture with the two of them, even if we have to pay $100 for it. Yes, I said $100, but in our opinion (my husband and I) that money was well spent.

and...the simple great things in life.

I started volunteering at this shelter called: homeward pet ado
ption center.
The website is:
www.homewardpet.org and I am loving it!

They are a no-kill shelter and they really care about their little guys. I am so happy to be part of it. I have to say that I wish I had started volunteering years ago, but being from Brazil I didn't know much about it.

The pretty furry faces I see ever time I am there, makes my day. Here are some of them:

Abigail: still needs a home :-)

And this is Sookie (Kiwi at the time) I've adopted her from this shelter a couple years ago, and I could not be happier.
My husband and I are looking forward to adopt a second one as soon as we move to a bigger place. There's nothing like a house with a pet. They just bring so much join.

Love my pretty girl!

And the snow is almost gone.

Hello there, this past week have been interesting in so many ways. I just started a job as a Medical Assistant 2 weeks ago and this week I was barely able to work due to the snowstorm we had. I know, there are many places that have it worse than what we get here in Seattle, but you gotta remember, here we have the hills, and on Wednesday all that snow was turned into ice. Scary!
Lots of cars got into accidents and the power outage affected more than 300,000.00 people. I am happy that the rain came back (and by that I have to say, for the first time since I moved here, I really am).

On Wednesday since I had the day off I decided to go for a walk on the neighborhood, and here are some of the pictures. So beautiful!
